Tutor Attendance Reminder:
Monday-Thursday you are expected to attend tutor time and engage in the activities. We are halfway through the academic year, if you have given your tutor nothing to write about, or even worse negatives, you will be left with a very poor reference for whatever you apply for next. Please note this also affects your attendance percentage, a mandatory comment on all references.

Work Experience: Please discuss with tutors and/or 6th Form team. You have up to 5 days available during this academic year (excluding summer exam week).

UNIFROG: It is essential that every Y12 student sets up a Unifrog account. You should now all be signed up! Some reminders have been sent to individual students and their parents.

Year 13 Exam Clashes: All students will be sent their individual timetables via school comms week commencing 24th February. If you already know (or once you have received your timetable) you have two different subject exams on the same day at the same time please e-mail examsclash@stbarts.co.uk with all the relevant information as a matter of urgency. This is particularly important if you notice that you have another exam on the morning or afternoon session of the clash day. Your e-mail will be acknowledged and before the end of the spring term you will be notified of the school’s arrangements to accommodate your clash. If you have any other queries regarding your timetable e-mail exams@stbarts.co.uk

UCAS: If you are invited for an interview at a university or you need some help deciding on your offers (although there is no rush!) then please contact one of the sixth form team if you would like some assistance. If you have received responses from all your university choices, please don’t rush a final decision. Discuss options with your Tutor and with members of the Sixth Form team and consider revisiting universities etc

MESSAGES FOR ALL STUDENTS

Please note that in Miss Ostrowski’s absence, C6 PDP sessions will be covered by a member of the Sixth Form team so please make sure that you are attending all sessions as usual.

Handwashing and toilets: The sixth form can use the toilets on the ground floor near reception, including the disabled toilet which has a sink in it. You can also use the sink in the kitchen of the foyer. Please report any issues with the sinks to a member of staff.

Car Parking: Students are reminded that you are not allowed to park on the main school site. Students are also reminded that they must stick to the hard-standing area of the Wormestall field and not stray onto the field itself. Student passes will be issued in the next couple of weeks. If you have not already done so, please complete a car registration form and hand it to Mrs Garrety. Students are also reminded that if you park in the wrong place, and you are challenged by a member of staff, you need to respond with appropriate politeness.

Bra Bank: The Bra Bank is an initiative instigated by tutor group, P3 as their tutor team project. Clean bras, in any condition, can be deposited in the ‘bank’ and will be sent off to ‘Against Breast Cancer’ to raise money for research. If you would like to contribute, please drop them into the container in D110. This is an ongoing project with no cut-off date so please think of us in the future when you’re replacing your bras. Thanks in anticipation of your support!
