In regard to action being taken against climate change on Friday; as a school we are planning to support students to show their strength of feeling by providing an opportunity to sign a petition to be sent to the government, with an aim to secure 1,000 signatures. We will also be showing a climate change film in Curnock break-out space during Activity Time.

PATHWAY – EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS DAY – Feb 19th 2019
You have all signed up to Pathway and they are offering an Employability Day on February 19th.

You will get to work in small groups and take part in 4 short workshops. The workshops are designed to improve different aspects of employability and confidence. Students will work on CV’s, strength identification, first impressions and interview techniques. The day is hosted by Pathway employability experts and supported by volunteers from our corporate partners. You will get the opportunity to meet employees from a range of businesses, learn more about yourself and gain experience in starting your career. During our interactive employee Q&A, you will also be able to ask questions anonymously and take part in live polls!

Mobile Phones

Further to Mrs Mortimore’s message in whole school assembly this week, mobile phones should be kept switched off and put away during the school day. They should only be used if you are instructed to do so by your teacher. During lessons, mobile phones should be in your bag. Around the school site you should not use your mobile phone. If it is an emergency and you need to make a call, then you should to go to your House Office. A further reminder that you should be polite and follow the instructions of staff at all times. Failure to do this will lead to a sanction. Thank you.
