MESSAGES FOR YEAR 12 STUDENTS

Supervised Study: All students who are doing 3 subjects now have two Supervised Study slots on their timetables.

W – Tues p1 and Weds p3
X – Mon p4 and Tues p3
Y – Mon p1 and Tues p5
Z – Weds p1 and Thurs p5

New timetables for all students who have dropped to three will be available for collection from Break on Monday. The first session will be Mon p4 (today). All timetabled students are required to attend these sessions in the Robinson Rooms. Sixth Form Extra
All students not in Young Enterprise, Stretch and Challenge, Philosophy or Core Maths are to find volunteering opportunities before half term – come and see the Sixth Form team if you need guidance and pay particular attention during this week’s enrichment.

Safe Drive Stay Alive – Wednesday 27th November
Please remind your parent/carer to grant permission for you to attend this event. All Year 12s are expected to attend and it is a very important trip that we run each year. You will leave school just before the end of P3 and will return by the end of the school day. If you have any queries or questions, please go and see Mrs Garrety.

Drop Forms: A significant number now completed, thank you very much. You MUST complete a drop form to drop a subject and get it to Mrs Garrety as soon as possible please. Simply not turning up isn’t dropping.

EPQ for Y13 – please send any outstanding PPF’s ASAP – meeting next week P5 (week 8).

Supervised Study
Some Y13s will be required to attend Supervised Study sessions. Details will be confirmed by the end of the week. In the meantime, please be aware that the Robinson Rooms will be very busy with Y12s on Supervised Study at these times and you may prefer to work in the Foyer.

Library
All Y13/14 are asked to check in with the Library staff at your earliest convenience. The Library need to review the loans of all students and re-assign books to you for the new Academic year. Books taken out by you last year will need to be re-assigned to you this year.

Unifrog
Individual reminders were sent to all students who have not yet set up an account. If you have lost your password, enter your email and then ask for the password to be re-set.
Everyone should have completed and shared the following sections with their Tutors:
Post-18 Intentions
Activities or Competencies (or both)

If you are applying to UCAS, you should also have completed:
at least one university shortlist
your personal statement

MESSAGES FOR ALL STUDENTS

Dress code:
Please ensure dress code is being adhered to. The focus this week will be jeans, so please make sure you are dressed appropriately. Any issues with this, please see the Sixth Form Team.

Please do remember that assemblies, enrichment and tutor sessions are a compulsory part of your timetable and all sessions must be attended unless you are specifically told otherwise.

Wall of Posters – Do you run a club or society? Is there an event you would like to promote? I am starting to put together a list of clubs for sixth form ready for open evening. Please send me your posters with the times and locations of the event so I can start filling up the wall! Mrs Lane

The EPQ showcase will be held in the hall at 3.30pm on Wednesday. All students welcome. Come and support the Y13s and Y12s find out if an EPQ is for you.

6TH FORM PANTOMIME – If you wish to sign up to audition for one of the 5 main characters, please do so on the sheet in the W131 6th form office. The 5 main characters are Aladdin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Scrooge. There will be a large amount of smaller roles and cameos available to audition/sign up for after half term.

HARVEST APPEAL: Please bring in tins/packets of food to your House Office by 18th October to support Fair Close Centre and Loose End charities. Soup, meat pies, stews, tinned veg and fruit etc.

Male dance workshop: we have a professional male dancer coming in to work with a select group of males. If you are interested in working with this dancer for the day on Friday then come to the Expressive Arts office and see Mr Sarkozi

Medical Society – we will be discussing the application processes today, all welcome C019 at 12:45
