Early entrants evening for Y11 and Y12 Monday 1st April 2019 – 6-8pm
· 6-6.15pm arrival and refreshments
· 6.15-7pm Meet the Medics
· 7-7.15pm break – refreshments and time to chat with students
· 7.15 -8pm Applying to Oxbridge panel discussion

Oxbridge Evening
The West Berkshire Oxbridge Evening will take place at 7.00 on April 4th at Mary Hare School with representatives from Oxford and Cambridge. Students and parents are welcome to attend. There is no requirement to book.

Immunisation Programme
For those involved in this programme, the follow up immunisation takes place on Thurs 4th in WMR, 8.50 – 3.20.

Following the recent Enrichment session, a number of you have still not set up Unifrog accounts. Please note that all Y12s are required to complete 3 of the four modules by (Post-19 Intentions, Activities, Competencies, CV). Please note, this is for all students not just students looking to go to university and these codes are only for Y12.

Reading/Book Club in C021 Mon 12.45-1.15

Reminder: The 6th Form area is to be used during lesson time for study only. Please expect to be asked to leave the area during lesson time if you are not studying.

Students need to be aware that there have been complaints from neighbours about groups of students trespassing into private property at break/lunchtime. The school has agreed that the police should be called if there are further instances of this.

Congratulations to Jemima Kerr 7P1 who won the Davis Easter Egg Hunt! Please come to Davis House Office to collect your prize!

Cultivate Entries
If you attended the workshop and would like to enter the competition we will require entries by Tuesday 23rd April at the latest. Your entry should include a draft business plan and Powerpoint (which includes a description of your business idea, a name, logo (not essential), SWOT analysis, prices & costs, marketing and how you would use the £500 to start up your business) . Please email your entry to cdarkin@stbarts.co.uk or dcleary@stbarts.co.uk. Any questions or if you would like to use a computer please come and see us in the BCS faculty.

Carnegie Medal Reading Groups (Y7-Y10 and Y12)
The shortlist has been published, and the meeting to sign up for reading groups will be on Tuesday 2 April, in C010 at Activity Time (12:45). If you are interested in joining a group to read some of the best children’s and Young Adult fiction of the past year, please come along. If you cannot make the meeting, or would like some more information first, please speak to Mr Evans (Media – top floor Curnock), Mrs Baker (Library), or Mr Randall (English).

New CCTV – four new CCTV cameras have been installed on Wormestall field.

All those attending the Easter CCF Adventure Training week must report to stores on Tuesday 2nd April as per notice on the CCF board.
